  • How do I know whether I need Private Duty Home Care or Home Health Care?

Home Health Care services are provided intermittently when the skilled care professional visits the clients’ homes. Services include nursing, therapy and other clinical-based procedures. In most cases, visits are done three times a week within a 60-day period or as specified by the Primary Care Physician. Generally, Medicare covers home health care payments.
On the other hand, Private Duty Care is provided by non-medical or un-skilled aides. Services included in the scope include housekeeping, meal preparation and companion services. However, there are some private duty professionals who are also able to deliver skilled clinical care. Since there is no definite schedule, Private Duty Care is provided on an as needed basis and are paid for by the client or by family members.

  • How much will Home Health Care cost me?

For Medicare Insured patients, services are covered 100% without deductibles and lifetime maximums.
